Hello and welcome.
It’s lovely of you to visit and I hope you’ll stick around.
I’m a writer who’s interested in design and communication, books and ideas. I’ve worked as a film editor, teacher, workshop facilitator and project manager. I live on the Central Coast in sunny Australia and I’m currently taking a break from work to figure out what to do with the rest of my life.
Although I’ve had lots of jobs over the years, most of my work involves putting information into a logical order and wrangling words and ideas. I enjoy helping people work out what it is that they are really trying to say. Sometimes people find this surprisingly hard.
My blog covers a wide range of topics, reflecting my different interests over the years, but mostly the themes revolve around communicating effectively and simply. I have a deep love of books and writing, but I also write about work, and occasionally art and design.
As I get closer to retirement, I’ve been thinking a lot about how to retire well and purposefully. I’m not ready to throw in the towel and look forward to teaching and writing for years to come.
I love to connect with like-minded people so if you’d like to get in touch, feel free to use the little form below or connect via social media.
I hope you find something that resonates with you here, and if that’s the case, please sign up for regular updates. I’d be thrilled if you did!
Cheers and thanks for reading.
